The project will strengthen cooperation between the municipalities and will create the premises through the establishment of Local and Regional Platforms for Action, an example to be replicated in other regions as well. This will also bring about the establishment of the necessary cooperation and exchange of experiences to target joint issues that concern the cross-border region , as are gender issues and minority rights. Local public ownership and dialogue will be strengthened through the regular meetings and capacity building sessions that will be implemented. In addition, as APS and CRPM will commit to bring together relevant municipal administrators, NGO representatives and experts in the field. They will help to bridge religious, ethnic, social and political barriers and create a healthy climate of dialogue and mutual understanding. Moreover, the organizations have proven their ability to deliver confidence-building measures, through their activities within individual countries and through bilateral and regional activities.
